How Shan Slays: A Friday Special

Welcome back to another addition of my Friday series: How Shan Slays! I have several friends making a guest appearance today!

  • Cast Iron Dutch Oven
  • Zak Designs Mixing Bowls
  • Nordic Ware Anniversary Bundt Pan
  • Porcelain Ramkins
  • Copper Goldtouch Cookie Sheet

Cast Iron Dutch Oven

I stinking love my Dutch ovens. I have one in a bright red (that matches my KitchenAid) and also one in a beautiful shade of purple. Dutch ovens can be rather costly especially if you go for the higher end brands like Le Creuset. However, good old HEB comes to the rescue! Their Cocinaware line features Dutch ovens with the most gorgeous colors. I mean wow! I use my Dutch oven constantly from making stews, soups, spaghetti, you name it. Every gal and guy needs to have one.

Zak Designs Bowls

These bowls are a Mrs. Teresa inspiration. She was the first person I knew that had these bowls. I immediately fell in love with them. They are SO fun! You can use them for mixing (as per their description) but I solely use them for presentation. I have used the bowls at parties to hold chips, crackers, etc. They have also been great for guacamole, salsa, and other types of dips. They are hand wash only so don’t throw them in the dishwasher.

Bundt Pan

This past year, my bundt pan has been used quite a few times! I have made tons of bundt cakes for various occasions, such as work potlucks, birthdays, family gatherings, Christmas parties, etc. This pan is simply the best and the gold has not faded one bit. I do not put this pan in the dishwasher as it would ruin the gold finish. I have the anniversary Bundt Cake pan but if you search Williams Sonoma’s website, you will find quite a few variations. They have some are in the shape of a flower. How pretty would that be?!

Porcelain Ramekins

So I actually have not used these ramekins for their intended purposes (aka: making Créme Brûlée). Here’s what they are used for about 90% of the time:

Why else would I buy them?! From a practical standpoint, they are great for holding fruit, a little salsa for your chips, or your cereal! I think that’s why I like them!

Cookie Sheet

Another favorite Williams Sonoma item! These cookie sheets have been the ticket for all of my baking needs. They are simply awesome. I’ll leave it at that 🙂

So there you have it. Another round up of my favorite slaying tools. I hope you all enjoy them as much as I do! Happy Friday!!

PB and J,
Shan
