Trader Joe’s Haul

Trader Joe’s Haul

Hi everyone! I’m excited about this post as Trader Joe’s has been one of my favorite places to grocery shop since moving to DFW. Trader Joe’s is a reliable supplier for our gluten-free, vegan, and corn-syrup free needs. I thought I would share some of our current favorite items today!!

Corn syrup is found in nearly all gummy snacks and fruity candies. These corn-syrup free sour gummies are delicious and remind of those high school/college days when I would shamelessly eat handfuls of Sour Patch Kids. #bestmoviesnack

These are similar to tortilla chips with a kick. I’m trying so hard to eat less tortilla chips but since these have beans and quinoa in them, I feel justified eating them.
I really enjoy this pasta and keep several bags on hand. A lot of gluten free pastas are made of corn but this one is a rice/quinoa based pasta. It cooks well and doesn’t fall apart like some gluten free pastas do.
These tacos have been a freezer staple for Shay on nights when dinner isn’t happening. If you do not care for beef, chicken tacos are available as well. If you’re strapped for time, pop some of these in the oven and dinner is done! If you’re attending a party, bake a bunch of these ahead of time and serve them with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. They would be perfect little appetizers!

Ice cream has been a rare treat these days for me. This chocolatey ice cream treat is absolutely scrumptious and I could eat my weight and then some in it.

Beef and broccoli is the dish Shay will always order at any Chinese restaurant. Food at many Asian restaurants can be risky business due to a high corn syrup prevalence in the sauces. Thankfully, Trader Joe’s does not use corn syrup in many of their products. He likes to eat this over steamed rice or fried rice (which Trader Joe’s also has!)
Another delicious treat! I used to keep a package of these in the freezer so I could supply my own dessert at birthday parties and also indulge my chocolate cravings. Ok, I mostly kept them for the cravings. Don’t let these little cakes fool you! They are quite rich and one would never know they are gluten-free. Trader Joe’s also has larger cupcakes in a pack of four but these mini ones are perfect for when you need a little chocolate pick me up.

These are just a handful of our favorites! I try to purchase a couple of new items with each visit so I’ll have another haul coming in the upcoming weeks.

 Trader Joe’s Biggest Fan,

Shan
