One Dish, Two Ways!

Fruity Chocolate Kabobs

Fruity Chocolate Kabobs

Hi friends!

I noticed I haven’t posted any dessert recipes! With Valentine’s day coming up tomorrow, there’s no better time!!! This is a quick recipe to pull together and also a healthy option if you want to avoid candy.

I love fruit. And chocolate. Thankfully, both can be combined!!! It’s nice to be able to share a dessert with Shay without having to make two dishes. Here’s the catch: I didn’t tell him that I used dairy-free dark chocolate. Teehee.

Our Way:

  • Diced strawberries
  • Diced oranges
  • Diced apples
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Raspberries

Chocolate chips of your choice (I used Guittard but you can use Enjoy Life or the Trader Joe’s brand as well)

Wash and cut up whatever fruit you want to use. I alternated the fruit and fed the pieces on a skewer. If you prefer to dunk, I would use a ramekin and microwave at 15-20 intervals. Dip your fruit into your chocolate, lightly tap off the excess and then let cool/harden on a cookie sheet that has been lined with wax paper. If you can’t wait that long, then that’s fine too.

I would encourage you to get creative and use food besides fruit: potato chips, marshmallows, cookies, pound cake. The sky is the limit!!

Always Ka-bobing for Chocolate,

Shan
