Tuesday Talk: Blender Blunder

Tuesday Talk: Blender Blunder

Hi everyone!

I am linking up with Erika and Ashley for Tuesday Talk where the possibilities are endless for topic selection.

Last time, I talked about background movies or films I know by heart and am content to let them play as I fold laundry, write, etc.

I chose today’s topic because I need some blender recommendations. Since discovering Town Talk, I’ve been buying a lot more fruit. To justify my decision to pack my fridge with fruit, I’ve been trying to freeze what I can and make smoothies with the fruit. However, making the smoothies has been difficult.

I have had this lovely blender from Oster since we were married. It’s starting to lose steam and is not efficiently blending my fruits. I’ve been finding lots of skin off berries and small pieces of kale/spinach. Yuck yuck…. I need my smoothies to be as smooth as creamy peanut butter!

I am totally open to suggestions but of course I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg. I have heard so many great things about Ninja, Vitamin, NutriBullet etc. but I seriously can’t decide!

I want to hear from you all about your blender and why you would recommend it. If you remember the cost, that’s great but if not, I can easily research it. I also want to know how long you’ve had it and if it requires any special cleaning/care.

Thanks everyone in advance for responding and helping me solve my blender blunder!!

  • My parents have a full size Ninja blender and it’s amazing! My younger brother actually got it for Christmas a few years ago lol. Then last summer for my birthday I asked for a personal sized Ninja blender and I love it. I think you’ll be really happy if you go with a Ninja.

  • We used to have the worst luck with blenders too. I used to make the boys their baby food and I had the hardest time finding one that I liked. We ended up going with the baby bullet that worked really well and the nutribullet for us. Sierra~Beautifully Candid

    • Vitamix is the BEST and ONLY blender I will ever use. Over the years I have had many different blenders and some were ok but nothing like my Vitamix which I have used every day for the past 10 years. It is expensive but worth every penny. If you have a Costco by you, buy it from them as it is much less expensive from Costco and Costco guarantees it forever. That being said, mine still runs perfectly after 10 years of daily use.
