Top 10 Appetizers
Hey y’all! I’m featuring another Top 10 List!!
There’s nothing that gets me more excited than appetizers! I am sharing my Top 10 Favorite Appetizers. All are gluten-free and mostly vegetarian.
Mexican Layer Dip
This is hands down my absolute favorite appetizer. I make a variation of the Pioneer Woman’s Mexican Layer Dip for many events I am invited to. So delicious!
I have been making this homemade salsa for several years now and it’s a big hit! You can alter it so it is as spicy or mild as you want. Since I blend mine, I have also control how chunky or smooth it is. Either way tastes great! If I’m at the store, I also like Pace’s Restaurants Salsa and the Tostitos brand of salsa.
Last Fourth of July, my cousin made this dip for our family party and holy smokes was it amazing! It disappeared very quickly! I made it this past weekend for small group and it was gobbled up. I featured it yesterday on the blog!
My love for hummus has grown immensely over the past few years. After getting used to the traditional hummus flavor, I now enjoy roasted red pepper, roasted garlic, black bean, and pine nut. I have tried my hand at making homemade hummus but I’m pretty content to go buy a container at the store. One day…
Guacamole and Chips
There’s nothing like homemade guacamole. If it were up to me, I would take a tad of garlic salt, lemon, and cumin and call it a day. Guacamole is good anytime anywhere. Guacamole is my love language. It soothes the soul.
Sounds quite boring but I love an ordinary veggie tray. I normally do not consume many dairy products for digestive reasons but the ranch dip served with the veggies is the best. I also enjoy veggies with hummus.
I usually only have edamame before eating Asian food but they are so good with salt! Pei Wei and PF Changs have great edamame.
My Big Fat Greek Layered Dip
I made this dip a few weeks ago and it was super yummy! It’s a spin-off of the Mexican Layer dip but with hummus, greek yogurt, and various veggies!
Yep, you guessed it. Another Pioneer Woman recipe! This one is more for Shay. He enjoys eating these on Super Bowl Sunday and at New Year’s Eve parties with lots of bacon and cheese.
You’re probably thinking…what in the world?! The name is pretty suggestive but when you eat them, you’ll get it. Way back when, Mrs. Teresa introduced this recipe as a fun appetizer!! I actually haven’t made this in FOREVER but growing up, I would eat these for breakfast. If you like meat and cheese, look no further!!
That about wraps up another Top 10 Edition! Thanks for tuning in!
Guess What?! IT’S GONNA BE MAY!
