What’s Up Wednesday September 2018
Happy Wednesday everyone!
What I’m eating this week…I feel we are really getting our money’s worth out of our Nexgrill Deluxe and have been enjoying the last of the grilled dinners before the weather cools down. Here is what we’ve made lately!
I’ve also enjoyed avocado toast with grape tomatoes and Everything But the Bagel Seasoning!! At work, I’ve kept some rice cakes on hand and will use that as my bread when I’m at work. Still amazing!
What I’m reminiscing about…when my babes were little!!! We have had Stetson for about a year now. He is such a big boy now!
Shelbie at 8 weeks old with her daddy
Still sporting her shiny coat!
Stetson at his first vet appointment. He was estimated to be between 7-12 months when we adopted him.
What I’m loving…all the fall decorations and everyone’s excitement surrounding it 🙂 Our peony tree has decided to bloom in time for fall!
What I’ve been up to…we just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary last week and had a great dinner at a Mexican restaurant in the stockyards.
Still continuing our photo tradition!! Learn more about it here!
We have also been hard at work with tiling our floor!
Earlier this month, we celebrated Labor Day and celebrated my sister-in-law’s birthday!
What I’m dreading… nothing in particular!
What I’m working on… house repairs and making my way through my Fall Bucket List!! So far I haven’t crossed many items off due to the weather and house remodeling but it will happen!
What I’m watching… I have watched a couple of cute chick flicks/all-time favorite movies as I’ve folded laundry and written blog posts.
Shay and I are also making our way through Parks and Recreation!
What I’m reading… I posted the last part of my summer book review a little while ago. Since then, I have been diving into my new books!
I’m currently working my way through Ten Thousand Saints.
I also have these books on my nightstand!
What I’m listening to…I’ve been listening to quiet piano medleys at work as well as Christmas music.
What I’m wearing… starting to slowly introduce fall clothing into my wardrobe!
What I’m doing this weekend…our church has their annual women’s conference this Friday evening and Saturday. I’m really excited about this. Weather permitting, Shay and I are taking the dogs to our local water park’s Doggie Beach Bash. How appropriate to have the dogs party on the last day before closing down for the season!
What I’m looking forward to next month… Being done with our living room and buying a couch, curtains, and cute decorations. I’M SO EXCITED!!
BONUS QUESTION: What’s my favorite way to eat or drink pumpkin? I love pumpkin in bread form!! Pumpkin bread that is heated with a cup of tea, milk, or coffee hits the spot perfectly! Trader Joe’s has a pumpkin free bread mix that should be on the shelves!
Looking forward to closing out September and hightailing it into the official fall season!!
Happy Official Fall Y’all!
