2018 In Review

2018 In Review

Hey everyone,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I needed a blogging break so I could be with family. To conclude 2018, I thought I would share some of the highlights of my year (in the virtual blogging world of course!)

Over the summer, I fell in love all over again with reading for pleasure. Since May, I am proud to say I read 48 books in total. Not too shabby! Here’s the breakdown of what I read:

  • The Rooster Bar by John Grisham (currently reading)

Several books really stood out to me. Hands down, The Nightingale was one of my favorites. Before We Were Yours, Everybody Always, Daring to Hope, Workin’ Our Way Home and Let Me Lie were also favorites for 2018. Not to my surprise but I discovered I really do love some cheesy chick-lit novel. Elin Hilderbrand’s Nantucket based novels fit the bill. For 2019, I plan to continue reading and hope to beat 48!

Naturally I had to address this area since my blog originally started with cooking! In total, I shared 4 appetizers, 36 different entrees, 5 side dishes, and 4 desserts. As a Christmas gift, I received an Instant Pot and let’s just say I’ll be featuring more pressure cooker posts in 2019!

With having two jobs, posting recipes each week is challenging but I will do my best! I may do just a few per month or do more overviews of meals we have had throughout the week. We will see!

Final Thoughts

I want to lastly say how truly grateful I am for all of my followers. Without you all, this blog could not be sustained. Thank you for reading and following me on my various adventures. Much love to all of you <3

Happy New Year Everyone!
